Leave these stitches on the needle.
Neck
Pick up the stitches left on the needles and continue the band to the back of the neck. Cast off and sew this bit of band to the neck. Then pick up on the other band and knit a few rows to meet the other band at the back of the neck. Cast off and join this bit of band to the other bit of band.
